Juan Carlos Quero

Partner
Partner of the law firm, he has been working as a lawyer specialised in Intellectual Property since 2010. He stands out for his expertise in patent litigation.

Juan Carlos regularly represents our clients before different Spanish courts, including the Supreme Court, and before the Court of Justice of the European Union. He also acts before trade mark and patent agencies such as the OEPM, the EUIPO and the EPO.

In addition to his prominent career as a lawyer, he has been working as an adjunct professor at ESADE (Degree in Law, Double in Business Administration and Law; Double Degree in Law and Global Governance) since 2010. He also lectures in the Master’s Degree in Industrial and Intellectual Property, organised by the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).

He is currently secretary and member of the Board of the Spanish group of the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Industrial and Intellectual Property) and a member of the LESI (Licensing Executives Society International).

Attracted by science for as long as he could remember, and later by the business world, Juan Carlos soon realised that Industrial Property allowed him to practice law by embracing other areas he was keen on. His multidisciplinary approach allows him to analyse the clients’ needs and to propose solutions that are not only appropriate from a legal point of view but also advantageous for businesses in the market.

Passionate about reading, sports, family and friends, in them he finds the counterweight to a profession that, while interesting, is exhausting, because as he says: "intensity requires breaks". He speaks Catalan, Spanish and English.
